Sometimes simplicity hides a challenge. We spent years trying to find a lamp that would ‘function'' with our architectural projects – something clean, direct, and tender.Then we saw the light on a grainy photograph of the 1970s. It was an interior shot of a house lost in a suburb of Tokyo, by an architect now forgotten by most history books. With little guilt we attempted a copy, then another one, then a few dozens, until it finally became what it had always been in our minds.
